JUICE1073 RADIO Q&A INTERVIEW
By Kim Pilic

Last week I visited 1073 Juice radio station, providing Chloe and Elerrina, breakfast radio hosts, with opportunity to gain firsthand insight into blindness and low vision. They both participated in an experiential blindfold activity, whilst walking with the assistance of human guide approaches, along with long cane techniques. Community education was also extended further, through a radio Q&A interview. This provided Forward Steps Mobility with opportunity to inform the public broadly about blindness and low vision. In particular, knowledge about Orientation & Mobility services; the emotional impact of vision loss; public misconceptions; anecdotal client examples; and, the functional implications of vision loss, including legal blindness.
Thanks to Juice 1073 for creating this public education opportunity.
