CRUISING ON THE TWEED RIVER

Today was the perfect day for a cruise at Tumbulgum, on the Tweed River, especially with a group of wonderful souls.

Forward Steps Mobility had the great pleasure of accompanying a number of people on a fantastic Tweed River rainforest cruise, with Tweed Escapes. Their collaborative, caring service was exemplary, and commentary throughout the cruise was outstanding, including information about birdlife, geographical elements, historical points of interest, local industry happenings and more. We were also very fortunate to experience the company of a local lady by the name of Bev, who provided wonderful insights into historical and present information about the district, including her attempts to regenerate pristine rainforest habitats.

Following our amazing cruise, we all enjoyed further socialisation over lunch at the Tumbulgum pub. Great food and conversations with a good atmosphere. Many thanks to everyone for making the day so special, including our fantastic Support Workers, Kerri and Jack. Thanks all! And, next week’s activity – tandem skydiving on the Gold Coast. Looking forward to another fantastic day in the company of some thrill-seeking souls.
