OUR HIGH TEA WAS POETRY!

Arriving at Treasury Hotel,
Congregating all together,
After walking through town,
Enjoying good weather.

Using canes and working dogs,
wearing presentable attire,
Entering a classy establishment,
Resembling a royal empire.

Experiencing old-world charm,
And eating from fine china,
A high Tea indulgence,
Attending as happy diners.

Eating scones and pastries,
Drinking champagne and tea,
Savouring delicious sandwiches,
Enjoying good company.

Experiencing bottomless cups,
Endless drinking in sight,
A three-tiered stack of food,
Digesting gustatory delights.

Talking socially with others,
Making friends as well,
Catching-up with acquaintances,
This activity was swell.

Working dogs behaving nicely,
Mostly sleeping without care,
Lying under our tables,
With others under chairs.

It was a buzzing atmosphere,
Experiencing loud ambient chatter,
But once indulging in food,
Surrounding noise didn’t matter.

With a socially indulgent embrace,
